Snowboarding Hollywood Actors

A couple of months ago we took a look at 10 actresses you might spot snowboarding this season. Here's the long-anticipated follow-up - an internet stalk of eleven famous snowboarding actors and one ex-famous snowboarding actor...

Famous for being in: Cheers, White Men Can’t Jump and Kingpin.
Interesting fact: He’s raw foodist, which means he is a vegan who goes one bonkers step further by only eating raw and dried foods. Perhaps his strange eating habits are just the result of a bad case of the munchies, because he’s also an activist for the legalization of marijuana.
Snowboarding skills: When he works up enough energy to leave the house he keeps himself busy by trying to introduce the use of hemp to the ski industry. Apparently he's a decent snowboarder though, here’s a video of him trying to teach some guy from the New York Times to snowboard...

Famous for being in: There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, Zoolander, Dodgeball, and Tropic Thunder.
Interesting fact: Don't bother sending him any fan mail - I pay a huge chunk of money to my agent and publicity people to shield me from my fan mail. I don't even want to know how many letters I get. I don't see fan mail as a good thing. It always makes me think of stalkers.”
Snowboarding skills: Last season Stiller was rushed to New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital after fracturing his wrist in a snowboarding accident. He's clearly good at crashing, but there was no coverage of how good at snowboarding he is.

Famous for being in: The Losers, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and the Fantastic Four
Interesting fact: He appears to be able speak fluent Italian...
Snowboarding skills: He was spotted trying on new snowboard boots, boards and bindings at the Burton store on Melrose Avenue. I guess he was buying new gear to replace the stuff he was wearing in that video.

Famous for being in: Entourage
Interesting fact: He was apparently “a stone-cold hippie bongo drum player while attending Bard College” according to IMDB
Snowboarding skills: According to New York Mag, ‘Grenier was decent, especially given that he’s only been snowboarding “maybe twelve days in my life.” By the time he had to take off to promote his stuff, he’d even figured out how to ride backwards.’ and according to himself, “I’m better than a beginner with the balls of an expert!”. If you want to see a video of him and his expert balls in action click here.

Famous for being in: Twilight and he appeared as a snowboarder in a low-budget movie called Deep Winter. Here’s the trailer...
Interesting fact: He’s the most sporty man in the world according to the Wikipedia hive-mind, “In Lutz's free time, he likes to take part in extreme skateboarding, weight training, track, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, swimming, tennis, racquetball, badminton, snow skiing, snowboarding, dance, and numerous other activities.”
...including wearing silly hats
Snowboarding skills: Apparently he's pretty good. Here he is, surrounded by a mob of hysterical Twilight fans, telling a story about ripping his underwear while snowboarding.

Famous for being in: the X-Men series and Frozen (although he’s a skier in that)
Interesting fact: When filming "Animorphs" he had to pet a tiger. During one scene, the tiger jerked its head and Shawn's fingers went up its nose.
Snowboarding skills: Looks like used to go snowboarding a fair bit as a kid. In an interview with The Brampton Guardian he said, "I would do movies and TV, and in the summer I would skateboard, in the winter I would snowboard, so I had a pretty full plate."
I've never been so glad to see a Canadian flag
And he is still a regular snowboarder according to an interview with Deseret News
Ashmore's Sundance plans include more than just "hitting the red carpet," though. He said he wants to see other festival selections — and more than that, he's hoping to hit the slopes while he's in Utah.
"You'd think the experience of making the movie would have soured me on ski resorts, but you'd be wrong," the avid snowboarder laughed."If anything, 'Frozen' made me even more fearless," he said. "Once you've been through what we went through to make that movie, nothing a snowy mountain can throw at you seems that scary anymore."

Famous for being in: Black Hawk Down, The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Interesting fact: Bloom's first appearance on the screen was as a rent boy in the 1997 film Wilde - he had a small part”, according to Wikipedia. I bet he’s pretty unhappy with news of his tiny penis getting on that site.
Snowboarding skills: Looks like he's a learner, and in a strangely specific bit of reporting Guest of a Guest found that he “definitely bruises like a peach”.

Mark Ruffalo and Orlando Bloom
Famous for being in: Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Zodiac and Shutter Island
Interesting fact: He had brain cancer, but got better.
Snowboarding skills: Like Bloom he’s also a beginner.

Famous for being in: I Know What You Did Last Summer, Crash and Flags of Our Fathers
Interesting fact: His son, Deacon Reese, was named after his distant relative, Charles Louis "Deacon" Phillippe, who pitched and won the first World Series game ever, in 1903
Snowboarding skills: Here’s some classic celebrity stalking video from X17...

Famous for being in: Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbour and Sin City
Interesting fact: He was voted the sexiest vegetarian in the world by PETA in 2003. In 2006 he manned-up and started eating meat again.
Snowboarding skills: According the ever reliable Celebrity Wonder “He likes to snowboard but claims he isn't any good.”

Famous for being in: Seven, Fight Club, Ocean’s 11 and Angelina Jolie
Interesting fact: Before he became successful at acting, Pitt supported himself by driving strippers in limos, moving refrigerators and dressing as a giant chicken.
Snowboarding skills: Considering this guy is probably the most stalked bloke in the world it’s pretty amazing that there is no press coverage of him snowboarding. These few photos are all the evidence we could find.

Famous for being in: The Lost Boys, License to Drive and Snowboard Academy, which is currently number 59 on the IMDB worst 100 movies list. Here’s the trailer...
Interesting fact: He puts Woody Harrelson to shame...“was working on The Lost Boys (1987 age 16) when I smoked my first joint. But a year before that, I was starting to drink beer on the set of the film Lucas (1986 age 15). I lived in Los Angeles in the '80s, which was not the best place to be. I did cocaine for about a year and a half, then it led to crack. I started on the downers which were a hell of a lot better than the uppers because I was a nervous wreck. But one led to two, two led to four, four led to eight, until at the end it was about 85 a day - the doctors could not believe I was taking that much. And that was just the valium - I'm not talking about the other pills I went through.”
Snowboarding skills: No idea if he could actually snowboard, but he definitely can’t now due to him suffering an unfortunately case of death. It doesn’t sound like he had much time for hobbies other than drugs, but he did at least own a snowboard...
